Burner Garage Sale July 26th!!

With pre-compression almost here, it may be time to unload some of the burner gear thats been collecting dust (either at home or the playa) Some friends in Rio Del Mar have opened up some space next to their Bar for us Burners. There is enough space for 16 10x10 spaces and they will bring out the grill to sell their grub.

The sale will run from 11:00- 4:00pm and they have a very nice establishment to hang out afterwards. I will hold down a fire pit for those interested in stayin until the sun goes down.

If you are interested in getting your gear out to other burners who might enjoy it, get a hold of me!! I will set you up with your very own 10x10 space.

    That sounds like an awesome idea but there is a lot going on that Saturday. M-PYRE beach burn in Monterey, Evergreen @ Harvey West with some of the most kick-ass dj's you will ever want to hear assembled in one place minus my brother who will be at yet another event up yonder. I'm already tryin to figure out how to split my day between Harvey West & Monterey.

    Please post again if and when you ever put together another one. I have a garage full of treasure!

        It took some time to figure out a place to hold it and then pick a date that worked. It is my hope to bring the Monterey and SC Burners together for a daytime family event:) I know it may seem a ways to go, but I assure you its a fun time...If you find that the Burners in Monterey are more apt to stay in the area, then maybe someone could get one going there!!! its a great location with decent parking if one gets there early.

        ps Is this Jenn from Bingo Camp????

        pss I will be going to Spain in a couple of days and Mohamed is going to keep the fire going while I am away( filling spots and such)

      Hey there,

      I have set the date with Sarah and Rich and we all came up with day that worked for our schedules. I really get that there is alot goin on, but it seems like there alway is:) I am so glad that there is an interest in participating and Its my hope that the spaces get filled. Its a really fun daytime event. If you can't make it, maybe you can find a little time to spread the word!! also, if you have stuff to sell, maybe someone else might have fun setting up a space for you.

      I would love for this to happen...I have not had ANY people responding to set up a space though. I am not sure what to do. Do you know if people are talking about it offline?

        hey girl - YES FRANNY THIS IS JENNIE KAY FROM BINGO CAMP!!! i saw geoff at soulstance, it was GREAT to connect!!

        no one is talking about this, sorry. with the two huge-o parties going on that day, this kind of got lost in the mix.

        i say ditch it and come play in monterey!

        you could bring stuff and do a costume exchange in monterey at the day at the beach? start pushing it on tribe? the yahoogroups for monterey? the announce lists?

        I just spoke with the people who were letting me use there spot and let them know that I am going to change the date....Im looking at August 11th. they will let me know.

        I sooo look forward to doing this:) and I am sure others will want to check it out and share their goodies with the Burner community.

        I will keep people informed!!!!
